I love buying pens and pencils. I think it must be the writer in me so needless to say my collection is constantly growing and I am finding that they end up everywhere. I was so tired of having them scattered across my desk that I decided to make a cute container to hold them all. I made the container by altering an old Key Lime Sherbert container. It was the perfect size and I am quite happy with the way it turned out.
Gotta Scrap That Stash

Hello Kitty Pincushion
I am very new to using a sewing machine as I just got one in November. However you will never learn if you don't get out there and try right? This is my first attempt at a pincushion. I see some areas where improvement is needed but all in all I am pretty happy with the turn out.

Sweet Geek Hairbow
I was feeling a bit creative today so I pulled out the perler beads and made this super geeky cute hair bow. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I saw a magnet version of this on etsy somewhere. It is kinda big but it's perfect for the back of your head. You could even clip it onto a headband. Super cute in my opinion.

Carl the Candy Corn
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Halloween! It is my favorite time of year and I always do it up big. I decided to kick off my countdown with a cute candy corn plushie. His name is Carl. Isn't he super cute?

Blythe Necklace
Oh No! I am one of those... Yes, sadly I have jumped onto the Blythe bandwagon. I even paid a nice $150 for my first doll. Crazy right??? Well after looking at so many cool photo shoots with these adorable little dolls I have decided that I need one. Not want one but really need one. I have already started collecting clothes and accessories for her and she hasn't even arrived yet. Luckily I am good at altering Barbie clothes so I am saving a fortune by hitting the thrift shops and buying big bags of Barbie clothes for about $1.99 per bag. Not bad huh? Anyway today's addition to my blog is this super cute Hello Kitty necklace that I made for my doll's welcome to the family gift. Mind you I will not be treating this doll like a human and becoming one of those crazy doll ladies. I am just looking forward to the artistic side of this hobby. The photo shoots are going to rock! Don't judge me.

Hello Kitty Bottle Cap Pin
Here is the second pin I have made in my bottle cap series. I love the floating heart I added to this one. I also debated about changing the paper behind Kitty but I kinda like the way the lines are on it.
My Melody Bottle Cap Pin
I made this My Melody bottle cap pin on a whim as well. I knew I wanted to find a way to use some of the bottle caps I was collecting and thought they would be the perfect size for a pin and the rest as the say was history. I love the way it turned out and will be making more with different characters throughout the day.

Cool Reading Accessory
This is my totally cool new bookmark. I made it on a whim the other day and I totally love it. Have I said totally enough yet?? Anyway, I love the way it fits snugly between the pages with the flower sitting pretty on top of the pages and the beaded tail hanging out the bottom. All you have to do is pull the tail toward the opening and your marked page opens right up with the flower acting as an anchor to keep the bookmark from sliding out. It is my new favorite creation. :)

And We're Back
You gotta love vacation time. :) I just got back from an amazing trip to the cottage. It was so incredible there. Minus the mosquitoes that is. Anyway, I decided to take a little project with me to complete while I was away. I have never made a purse before so I thought it might be a nice project to work on while sitting by the lake. I think it turned out pretty good. I finished it the first day I was there so it didn't keep me as busy as I thought it would but I am really happy with the turn out. I hope you enjoy my Kawaii Hawaii Hello Kitty Purse. :)

Johnny Cash CD Case
I made this for my Johnny Cash cd. I am so happy with the way it turned out. I love altering dvd cases and since I needed a case for my cd I thought why not? It is so very Cash.
Newest Cupcake Pins
I made these pins the other day. I love cupcakes and finding new things to make with them is so much fun for me. The big felt pin will be going on my bag and the smaller one is to wear on your shirt. These were so much fun to make. I love crafting!!!

Beam Me Up Scotty
My husband and I went to see the Scifi orchestra hosted by George Takei a little while back and I of course had to add my own little spin to my dressy outfit. I felt pretty glam all dressed up but still maintained a little piece of myself with my perler bead GEEK pin. I thought the bling star definitely added a touch of class. :)
Hi, my name is Lori and I have a problem...
I become easily attached to my crafty works. Every item I make for swaps I have to make in double so that my partner gets theirs. Every item I pour a bit of my soul into ends up becoming a treasure to me and I don't want to give it away. This happens every time I make something for a swap. I am telling you this because the bookmark I have posted here is my bookmark for the Kawaii Bookmark swap I am hosting at swap-bot. Perhaps I should say it WAS the one I was going to send my partner. Now I have ended up deciding to make them another one and keep this one to myself. As of right now it is snugly fit between the pages of Twilight. Yes I have finally given in and decided to read the book. 37 pages in and I could hardly put it down to update my blog. I think it is going to be a long night.

Plushie plus ATC
I made this plushie plus ATC for a private swap on swap-bot. I am pretty happy with the way she turned out. I wasn't shooting for a gingerbread doll but it's kinda what I ended up with. I named her Brownie but now I am thinking of remaking the ATC and changing her name to Ginger.

My First FB
Friendship books (also known as "FBs" in their abbreviated form) are small booklets made by stapling paper together, or are sometimes just sheets or strips of paper. They are usually decorated and the person who starts the book writes their name and address as the first person sending the book. People often include a list of interests as well. The FB is then passed around from penpal to penpal, and can often also become a way for one to meet new penpals. Most people hope to see the book again once it is full so they add their return address to the back cover of the book too, or inscribe "Return to Sender" on it. People also sometimes make FBs for someone else rather than themselves, in which case they write the name and address of the recipient on the front/at the top. Some people find friendship books fun because you can see where they have been in a trail back to the original sender/recipient.
This is the very first fb I have ever created. I love the fun and colorful style that I used for it. It just makes me happy to look at. Now if I can only get up the courage to send it out.

Hello Kitty Magnets
Ok, so I basically get obsessed by any new craft I try. Another of these latest obsessions is magnets. They are so much fun to make and since polymer clay is another new craft I have taken up I combined the two and made these super cute polymer clay Hello Kitty magnets. Some of them will be going out in a couple swaps I am in. I made several of each so this is just a sample of them.

Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto
This little guy is one of my favorites to make. You can do anything with him. I have used them on scrapbook pages as embellishments, I have put a pin backing on them and made a brooch, I have put magnet on the back to make a stylish and adorable magnet for your fridge, ect... There is just so much that can be done with him. I love perler beads it is my newest obsession and this is my favorite creation with them. This one is going to have a pin backing and be part of a favorite color swap package I am sending out. I hope they like it.
Poptart Plushie
Talk about to cute to eat. I made this plushie a little while back and wanted to add it to my blog. I think he is so cute. In fact I made him for a swap and loved him so much I made them another one and kept him for myself. I become way too attached to my crafts. He was super easy to make and I had a blast with it. If anyone is just starting out in making plushies I would recommend making this guy.

Girly ATC
This is the girly ATC I made for a swap I am in. For those of you who aren't familiar with an ATC it stands for Artist Trading Card and you can make them in tons of different themes. They seem to be one of the hottest swap items right now. They have swaps on all topics of ATC's. I have just started doing them myself and have to say that it is quite an addicting hobby. Like I needed another.
Zombie Guy
Another fun little project I worked on tonight while I skype scrapped with my mom. I saw a similar one on a flickr page and decided to give it a try adding my own hand drawn pattern. Originally I was making him for a swap but now I think I am going to have to keep him for myself and make a new one for the swap. Now to come up with a name...
Kawaii Cute
I got this really great kit the other day and had to use it on this photo of me with my pink bangs. I loved my hair like this and I really wanted to make sure that I documented it. I am so happy with the kawaii cuteness that shows in this layout. This is just so me right now.

Got Milk?
This is the cutest little milk box I have ever seen. I just love the Kawaii cuteness of it. I of course had to print it out and set up a photo shoot with it. This is another little gem that I have a link for you to get your own. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
*Just a little tip, use glue dots instead of a glue pen. Sooooo much easier. :)
Get yours here.

Here It Goes, Here It Goes Again, Here it Goes Again
Ahhhh.... What a beautiful summer day it is outside today. It's a little on the chilly side but the plus side is that it isn't raining or cloudy for once. I couldn't think of a more perfect time for a re-launch. I am going to try to be a little better on updating regularly I can't make any promises for a daily update but I have a good feeling you will be seeing more of me. My creation for today is just a little birdy that I printed out and put together and then took some fun pics of. I even have a link where you can print out your own little birdy. After a few struggles with the gluing process he is finished and I am pretty happy with him. He goes by the name of Toot. Hope you like him. Get your own here.
